I agree with your group mates' comments/questions, and encourage you to determine whether you want to focus on fear of heights or all phobias. You may still be able to make a broader argument by focusing on one fear as a case study, which you seem to be pointing towards in your magic thesis sentence. As I asked in class, I am interested in knowing what you mean by "a person's true character" -- this is very interesting, and it will be important for you to specify exactly what you mean by this.
